D and I are very happy about the new bathroom, even if we don't have a "real" bathtub yet. I felt a bit creative with the curtains - cut them out of an old sheet that my mother had made when she was around 30 (50 years ago!). These kind of sheets aren't really used anymore, but now we can admire her embroidery and lace every day instead in the curtains!

Naww...
WOW! I like that idea of the curtains and old linen sheets. We have several sets that were given to us by a woman named Solveig Engdahl of Kustavi/Gustavs. She is originally from Iniö. I think we have a set of light blue and a set of white. They appear to have been done in the same fashion as your mother's. Do some girls/women still do this tradition? Such wonderful pictures of D. Truly a happy kid! :-)
Bra idé med gardinerna! Det blev fint!
Tack ska ni ha!
Matt: I doubt anyone has time to work on sheets like this anymore! But there might still be a few my age who collected a "dowry" for themselves when they were young (I didn't, I wasn't planning to get married!)
