I especially liked the text on one of my birthday cards, and decided to save it here:
When people say
"live in the moment",
often they seem to mean
"celebrate, take a risk, go out and do something big."
But it can also mean just pausing
to soak up all the beauty
of an ordinary day
and appreciating your life just as it is.
Whatever you choose for yourself,
on your birthday and always,
may you enjoy happiness
and contentment.
I think the second paragraph is very important. I also received a small picture with the text "Allt har sin tid" in Swedish, more or less "there is a time for everything" many years ago and I've looked and thought about it many, many times. Times change, situations change, always. That is a blessing.
