Hi all! Thought I'd quickly write something to show I'm still alive and kicking, even if I haven't written anything for quite some time. There simply isn't time right now! I've also been sleeping badly, partly because of the full moon combined with worries about what Mr X will do next (trying to get a contract about the meetings with D, through the authorities, but he has resisted) and trying to make up my mind about the colors and patterns of the walls and floors of the two new rooms. Partly the nights have been restless, because little D has slept badly for a few nights. Don't know if it's the moon for him as well, or if he senses my worries, or he has a stomachache, toothache (new ones on their way?) or, or, or...It was such a shame, I had had problems falling asleep, but on Monday I went to "circuittraining" at the local gym - it was great, even if I'm in such bad shape, and I was really tired, fell asleep very quickly. Unfortunately D had a a bad night and woke up a lot - we don't seem to be very much in sync :(.
Otherwise he is such a cutiepie....I asked him one day to give mummy a kiss and offered him my cheek. He seemed to know what he was supposed to do, pressed tentatively his open, wet mouth to my cheek and looked a bit shy :) -oooh, I was so proud of him, and so happy about the peck!!
On Tuesday there was an interview with the local paper with representatives of the village association about the dangerous crossing to the new shop. I was there as the secretary of the association, and brought little D as representative of all the children of the village, who are in danger everytime they want to go to the shop to buy candy. Afterwards our family went to Jstad - my mother to the doctor, and I bought a new "sitpram" for D, he has almost outgrown the first one. This one is great, it can be folded easily and fits into the boot of my little car - now I can get easier around with him as well. On the other hand he was really anxious in the evening, and in the night - guess it was a bit too much action at one time. Unfortunately we need to go there again today. I should also start to write the articles about the partnership with Halfway, but feel my head is too full of other worries, and I'd need a few nights of better sleep first - last night wasn't too bad, but I got up at 6 (couldn't sleep any longer, even if D went back to sleep) so I suspect I'll be quite tired by the end of the day.
Glad I have an appointment with my therapist tomorrow, I really need to talk about all the things going on with mr X. I'm not used to sit around and wait for things to happen, but now it's the best thing I can do. I want to avoid arguments, but I think no matter what I say now it can be seen as an attempt to argue. Had a message yesterday evening that he wants to set a date for the meeting with the "childwelfare person", so hopefully we'll have a contract soon and things with the meetings will start to become a routine. Now too much energy is spent on wondering "is he coming/isn't he coming". Like last Saturday: he was supposed to come, I didn't hear anything until Friday evening. First there was a message that he is coming, and an hour later that he isn't - didn't see them until just before I myself went to bed. Not easy to plan my own life when it is like this, and besides, since the meetings take place in "a neutral place" I need to check if the room is available, and preferably when the congragationoffice is open (the meetings is in one of their rooms). Keep your fingers crossed we can soon work things out, the person who mostly needs this is little D!
Tonight he is going to get zonetherapy - that helped him when he was a tiny baby with stomachaches in the evening, now I hope it can help him get balanced again...and sleep for hours and hours in the night :)
(I wonder whose time the clock in this blog actually shows...it's ten and a half (!)hours behind our time...! Can I change it...?)

Getting colder
Maybe we'll get a winter, after all...at least now it's cold, still waiting for snow. Went for a short walk with D today, but as usual he slept only about ten minutes on his own after we got back, now he is sitting on the floor and I'm hoping he could entertain himself so I get to write a bit.
Yesterday was a great day - went to Jstad with a friend and her daughter. Wanted to give D the opportunity to swim again - and since there were more adults, I got to swim a bit myself. D was excited about the water, but it was a bit cold, so we didn't stay so long. Still, it was great!! Afterwards we went for a pizza (D had his own food :) and then he was put in the pram, S and daughter took care of him and I rushed away on errands. Wonderful to have such friends!!!!
Need to decide about tiles for the bathroom walls... among other things. If I don't make up my mind next week the renovation stops, there isn't much else left to do. I'm getting excited, maybe the bathroom is finished by the end of the month....maybe!!

Look who's walking!
Intentions for 2007
It's great to have a fresh new year, an opportunity to restart. I got a message from a friend:
May the new year
keep what you love
bring what you need
and take away
the burden that you carry
I thought those were great words (tack K!), perfect for me. 2006 was a difficult year in many ways, even if there was that one shining event - the "appearance" of my son. The summer was great, even if there were difficult moments (son's stomachache in the beginning - was helped by zonetherapy) and new routines to be learnt. But all the people that were happy about his birth, all the visits I got - that was wonderful. The hard things were the aching arms and hands during the last months of the pregnancy, the delivery, and the problems in the fall with Ms Y, and also Mr X. But I managed to find support and a backbone towards the end of the year, and could spend the rest of December resting and mending.
Today my cousin and his son are back to work on the new bathroom and "homecare"room, and I got up a bit earlier. It will be so great when the rooms are finished - I really look forward to the baths with little D - and also some relaxing ones on my own. The household will also be easier to take care of, when there is a room for ironing, sewing, and storing things.
D is still sleeping - I'm hoping to have the mornings to write the blog, and also to start writing articles (Halfway articles are waiting to be finished...). I'm hoping to include more exercise into my weeks - for the past month I have hardly done anything, a few walks with D. I'm sad there is no possibility for me to do what I'd love to do - pairsalsa and qigong - but I read the program of the eveningcourses, and found they have on Mondays training with leader in the great gym we have here, and on Saturdays, later in spring, Latin dances in the nearest town. What I need is great organizing....the foodpreparation takes up more and more of my time, so I need to somehow work out how to make that easier. I'm thinking sitting down once a week to plan the menu for the next week, and freeze some food for the baby.
We still haven't got snow - well, when I look out the window there is a bit on the field outside, but the road is wet (oups, just saw the neighbour almost falling over when picking up the mail - it isn't wet, it's icy!!), so I suspect the few snowflakes on the ground will melt during the day. I'm hoping for normal Januaryweather, which is snow, sun and about - 10 degrees (er...usually it is a bit colder....). But since the weather has been so unpredictable in the past years, I'm afraid it'll jump to extreme temperatures, when the cold comes. If not, I'm hoping for days outside with my son, pulling him in a "pulka", kind of a small sledge (have to include a photo later when we have the snow!), and using the "kick-sledge" on the icy road. It has also dawned on me that he is big enough to sit at the back of the bike later in the spring (of course, in a safety"chair"). Hurray! I can exercise and take care of my son - maybe also visit friends - all in one go, just the way I like it :)!
