A bit more than a week ago, me and D went on a trip to the very south of Finland to see a dear friend of mine. We took the train to Helsinki and went by metro eastward- so the beginning was very exciting was D. Then K drove us to the archipelago south of the town Porvoo. K really took good care of us, the weather was good as well. On Friday we were invited to an old classmates' - she had also invited another classmate of ours, so it turned out I saw four of them during the weekend, we studied tourism for two years in Pietarsaari 25 years ago! It's amazing that so many of us still keep in touch (I think we were 15 in all)! D was so happy to have kids to play with and I felt proud of having such a big son that could entertain himself, while mummy talked to her friends - 8-year old O took him under her wings, though, which helped a lot and when we were supposed to leave D cried a river :(. On Saturday another good friend of ours arrived and even if D was a bit cranky during the day, since he didn't take his normal nap, he fell asleep early so I could have a nice dinner with my friends :). Lovely weekend!! Such a shame my friends live so far away - but I've managed to see them twice already this year, which is great.
On Sunday we also went to a beach nearby on an island - the ferry was of course exciting (for both mother and son :).

Va bra att Du kunde göra en tripp till Östra Finland, i Borgå trakten är naturen mycket vacker.
Ja tänka sig att träffa kompisar sen Du studerade turism, det har säkert varit trevligt, det är ju en bra avkoppling att komma bort hemifrån några dagar.
Du tycks ju ha haft en bra värdinna som tog hand om dig. Snyggt bild collage från er resa till Tirmo, På bilderna är "D" så söt och Du för den delen lyckas alltid bra på bild. Trevligt sommar minne. Det blir bättre och bättre att resa med "D" när han klarar sig så bra med att leka med andra barn så att mamma får tala och sällskapa med sin kompisar.
Det bästa med en resa upplever man där hemma, dels före, dels efter.

Tack - i detta fall var det nog bäst före och där - blev ju sjuk direkt efter och det har hållit i sig nästan två veckor :(
