Best first of May, maybe ever :)

Normally first of May is a sunny, but rather chilly day. This year I think most people were surprised in the morning by the fact that the temperature had risen by more than 10 degrees from the day before - in the daytime it was over +20 degrees!! Summer!!!! In the morning we went to Nykarleby to hear the band play. In the daytime we went to a small café only open in the summer - it has wonderful old paintings on the walls.









Then we went to a small village that organizes programme every first of May- and they have a museumtrain that you can ride. It was really exciting for D that kept speaking about "king, king" I couldn't understand what it was at first, but then realized it is the sound at the lights at the traincrossing near our house when a train comes :). So train=king,king.

I was really glad when we were invited for a traditional Finnish summermeal at a friend's "summercottage" - grilled sausage and sallad. Since life at our house normally is very quite, since it's just my mother, me and
D, I love being in gatherings like this - with people that sit together and talk and laugh - and D also had company his own age. After the nice dinner we went for a walk to some sandpits to look at the water :)





The best show on first of May ve've seen for a long time :) (sigh, it's very difficult/almost impossible to get the photos where you want them, or the text in the right place, can't struggle with that anymore, I have a small one getting frustrated, and a guest waiting for dinner - more next time!)
